Mechanism:is a platelet aggregation inhibitor. Uses prevent blood clots (arthrothrombosis which may lead to stroke, heart attack, or death- also prescribed in the presention and correction of platelet disorders induced by extracorporeal circuits during surgery with circulation or haemodialysis.
Dosage:l tabs. Daily-300 mg taken as start Dose for severe chest pain (unstable angina )
Precautions: in patients receiving other druzs that increase the risk of bleeding, including anticoagulants, other latelets. and NSAIDs. it inhibit the cytochrome P450 isoenzyme, interactions with drugs metabolised by this isoenzyme are possible.
