Citalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI)
Indications:Mood disorders: Various categories of depression and mania unipolar or bipolar, major and minor disorders Q- Neurotic disorders e.g. anxiety, phobia and obsessive compulsive disorders (OCD)Q Disturbed behavior and conduct disorders.
Adverse effects, Precautions:as for SSRIs (Look above), increased appetite & weight gain also reported. Dosage: 20 to 60m daily. (the Dose should be gradually increased startin from 20 mg).
