Mechanism: inhibits penetration of virus into the host cell it has no virucidal actions
Uses used prophylacticaly against infection with influenza tneA2 virus, only 2- ttt of herpes zoster ,3- in conjugation with other therapy in the ttt ofparkinsonism because it may augment dopaminergic activity.
Dosage: 100 mg Daily for 5: 1 Odays for Herpes zoster used for 2:4 weeks .Parkinsonism : 100 mg Daily Maximum 400m Daily Kids 4:8mg/kg.l ./day.
