Buspirone is an Anxiolydic with dopaminergic and antiserotonergic activity.
Side effects: Dizziness, nausea, headache, nervousness, excitement, paraesthesias, sleep disturbances, chest pain, tinnitus, sore throat, and nasal congestion.
Dependence: Buspirone is reported to produce less sedation, and to have a lower potential for dependence, than the benzodiazepines.
Dosage:5mg 3 times daily maximum 60 mg/day.
